Occasional Special Mycology Meeting – time/day and location varies (see schedule)
A special educational meeting. Activities may include full-length presentations by club members and guest speakers, workshops/in-depth activities.
Forays (mushroom walks) at least twice a month, often on weekends (see schedule)
Forays are guided walks to look for fungi in the environment. We often go out to the woods, but there are also fungi to be found in our wetlands, savannas, prairies and even in entirely aquatic environments like rivers and lakes. We’ll also look at mosses, plants and animals as we encounter them. Many of us take photographs of the fungi we find and put them up on iNaturalist, a community science website and app.
